Summitt Elementary School serves more than 800students in North Austin and is part of the Austin Independent School System. Graduates of our school typically attend Murchison Middle School and later on Anderson High School.

Summitt Elementary is a diverse school with more than 20 different languages spoken in students’ homes. More than one-third of our school population is economically disadvantaged and a similar number are English language learners. These students in particular require extra help, and funding from our school district and the state does not meet all the needs our students have. Therefore, tutoring, technology education, and other enrichment programs fall to our parents, teachers, and community to close the gap to meet all of our students’ needs so they can all be successful.
