- Free t-shirts – The PTA provided a free t-shirt to every single student and teacher and staff member of Summitt.
- Fall Teacher wish lists – Every teacher had access to $100 reimbursement from the PTA for classroom supplies.
- Reflections Arts Program – Our first year (that we can remember) to participate in this National PTA Program. We had 2 entries this year and are hoping to grow this program in the upcoming year.
- Staff Meeting Snacks – Our community provided monthly snacks to staff meetings, each grade level took a turn treating our teachers to something yummy.
- Thankful Turkey! – Summitt families and students sent in responses detailing what they were thankful for in their teachers, the responses were recorded on turkey “feathers” our beautiful turkey was displayed in the great hall for all to see. We love our teachers!.
- Winter Coffee Cart – Teachers got a chance to get their favorite coffee or beverage at the coffee cart we brought to school in December
- For 2021-2022, in addition to teacher wish lists and the spring grant program the PTA funded field trips (Yay! Kids got to go on some fun adventures in 2022). We are proud of our ability to fund programs that directly benefit all students at Summitt. As our next school year quickly approaches, we are looking to fund programs like Reading and Math Intervention, CALT support and more in the 2022-2023 school year.
- Author visit by Anne Wynter (and Summitt parent) – We held an author visit for PreK-2nd grade and also donated copies of Everybody in the Red Brick Building to each classroom in PreK-2nd and more copies for the library. It was a wonderful event!
- Virtual Families Welcome Back “Boohoo Woohoo” – Provided a welcome back goodie bag.
- Ties & Tutus – We provided pencils to every student and staff member on Tuesday 02/22/22.
- Spring Grant Program Outcomes- Through monies left over from Teacher wish lists and budget amendments, we were able to provide an opportunity to apply for a Spring Grant. The grant was open to all Summitt community members and we received some wonderful and worthy proposals. We awarded over $8000 (exactly $8195.80) in grants to Summitt teachers, staff, and community members. Here is what was funded:

- Bluebonnets 4 Breakfast (Library books)
- Mindful Math (Kinder Math fun)
- PreK Read-On
- Texas 2×2 (Library books)
- Picnic Tables Preservation
- Services for All (Be on the lookout for these parent learning and support workshops coming next year!)
- PreK Guiding Lines
- Apex Fun Run – We were able to host our Fun Run in person and it was by far our most successful Fun Run ever thanks to all of YOU! We raised a mind-boggling $50K+
- National PTA Day of Service and Beautification Day- We were awarded a $300 grant for our National PTA Day of Service, our amazing Summitt community came out and beautified the campus via planting trees, cleaning out veggie beds, picking up trash and so much more! Want to help keep our trees healthy and watered all summer long? Sign up to volunteer for a watering shift.
- STEM Night & Catch Night – thanks to the efforts of our Grant Committee we were awarded the “PTA STEM + Families Propelling Our World, sponsored by Huntington Ingalls Industries” grant to bring a STEM Night to Summitt in which we joined forces with CATCH night, it was a fun evening for all. We got such great feedback on this event. Thank you to all who made it possible.

- Summitt Alumni Scholarship – Awarded $1000 scholarship to a former Summitt Eagle graduating high school this year.
